Topic Dog Boards / Health / Choking on bone plse help

Hi, my 19 month-old standard poodle was chewing on a knuckle bone last night and he started making an awful choking sound. We took the bone away and he seemed ok but this morning he has been sick. He threw up a sort of frothy stuff and after being sick he was making the choking noise a bit. He's ok again now but I'm slightly worried about it. It's bank holiday and our vet is closed. Is it something which could need urgent attention? Any advice on what to do??
thanks

I personally would take him the the emergency vet - he may be okay but I would still prefer to have him checked out asap, regardless of cost.

Sounds to me like he may have an obstruction. I would take him to the vet asap as it is a life or death situation
