hello! I own a GSP girl, she is nearly four years old. As far as I can remember every morning after a good nights sleep she always has "sleep" in the corners of her eyes. When I wipe it away it doesn't appear again until next morning. Most times there is a small amount of "sleep" but sometimes, especially after running around in the tall grass the day before, there is quite a large amount of gunk which literally has to be pulled out (like jelly). Is this a normal sort of protection being formed to protect the eye or is it the sign of a weakness in the eye? These GSPs normally have several inner "hoods" of their eyes showing especially if they're tired. Then they look like they've been out on the tiles all night!!
