My stafford started to get very depressed about a month ago,and the vet said she had a high temp and I was given anti-biotics.She yelped if you caught her face and quickly went back to lethargic again.Straight back to the vet who said that her temp was norm and basically didnt know what the problem was.At this time a small growth had appeared under her jaw but the vet said he thought it wasnt a problem as it moved around freely.Well yesterday she became depressed so changed vet and set off today. She was examined, temp fine but had a slight ear infection.I said that I wasnt just going to take her home that there was definately something not right.I left her there and they ran full bloods that came back as normal. The vet phoned me and asked to remove the lump as she had taken another look at it.This has been done, but as the lump was quite small I was shocked to see a 6 inch long scar. She said it did not just pop out,but from the scar they must have removed a large area.Anyway its gone off for a biopsy.I am greatly concerned that it is something more sinister.Obviously will have to wait and see.Does anyone have any experience of this, needed to let off steam as feel really worried.

Well if it wasn't benign hopefully they have removed all of it therby saving her from another operation.  If it is benign you will be releived.  Good luck
