Can a dog catch kennel cough from a dog which is incubating the virus?

KC is generally an "air borne" virus more often passed around by inhaling particles from a dog showing the symptoms such as sneezing and, as the name suggests, coughing but can contaminate clothes for eg. also for a short period through saliva.  One time when my own dogs caught it, it was from sharing a water bowl with dogs that showed no symptoms until a few days later.  So the short answer is Yes!
