Topic Dog Boards / Health / Is this slip patella or weak pasterns

Hello
I have a pup large breed and seams to stand forward on his back toes, when he does this his leg at the back seams to go stright and his ankle area seams to pop in and out. there is no pain there. Is this just standard in large breeds until they get there muscle in the back end. He runs lovely with no problems. (i dont run my dog but to jog at ringcraft) It is only when he is standing still and walking slowly. Walking fast he is also fine, could this be weak pasterns or slip patella. He is also fed on large breed puppy pro plan.
