We are considering buying a tibetan terrier puppy.  I have two young children and a busy household.  Is this the right breed for a young family?  Are they ok left on their own for short periods in the day? Are there any disadvantages of this breed that I should know about?  Thanks for any advice you can give.

I have had Tibetan Terriers for the last 16 years, they are with my 13 grandchildren with a little grumble when the grandchildren were younger nothing else, just children having to respect dogs are not toys  my 2  TT girls adore children, and a boy that I bred lives with my daughter next door, who has 3 of my grandaughters age 6 years 5 years abd another 6 months, I can say that they are a family dog and love to be in the thick of the family and any games you have mine are quite good at Cricket and rounders, but footballs are a bit big but they will nose them round the are an adventurouse go anywhere dog.

Coats need some work but if it  seen to regular there is not problem

I woulds highly recommend them
