A few weeks ago I looked after my friend's dog for a couple of weeks while she was on her hols. Over the past week, I keep getting little bites all over my feet when I walk barefoot in the house. They come up like little white rings about 1-2cm in diameter and itch like crazy. My friend has just infomed me that her dog has caught fleas - and I was wondering if these things sound like flea bites to any oof you?? and if so - how do I get rid of them?
Thanks in advance.

Yes I'm afraid they sound like flea bites, but they are easy to get rid of if you don't have your own pets. You need to buy a household flea spray from pet shops, chemists or supermarkets. Follow the instructions on the tin. The biggest enemy of the fles is the hoover . Good Luck

If you have any rugs I would hoover well and then treat them with a flea spray you can buy to treat the environement (not for dogs themselves) roll them up and put them in your shed for a week or two. then hoover them again outside ( never mind the neighbours!!) before you bring them back in. The carpets you cant move will have to be done in situ. Dont forget the sofa and other soft furnishings. They wont last long as long as you dont have cats and dogs in the house. Bad luck - I think if it were me, I'd ask my freind to cough up for the cost!! It might be a good idea for the dogs sake to suggest she uses a drop on flea treatment like Frontline or Advantage on him soon or he will suffer greatly as the summer progresses.

you may find that pest control from your local council will do it for free.
