Cutest tricks all my dogs know are crawl , bow and dancing on hind legs. also the 'ooooo' howl with the perfect 'O' mouth :)
Cutest tricks?
My daughter (age 10) has won several Best Tricks at fun shows with one of our dogs putting rubbish in a bucket, and also with a mini basketball hoop that he will put a tennis ball through!

How did you teach your dog to do that?
We used a clicker - he was used to that from obedience training - and I always found he learnt really quickly with it. So with the bucket, it was basically a case of him picking up the paper (rubbish!), then I'd hold the bucket underneath and would click when he dropped it. So from there it was getting him to walk over to the bucket himself, and being praised for dropping it in there. The hoop and ball is just another version of the same thing really!

My great dane does a lovely 'ask'. This may not seem impressive on other dogs, but is amazing on a huge great dane. He also 'says his prayers' on a chair, will answer any question you ask him with a 'woof' (on hand signal) and will look 'sad'. I was starting to teach him 'shy', but in camy new puppy and training him has gone out the window.

My rott X will wave (say hi), speak, roll over and play dead - I'll say "play dead!" and she'll fall (literally!) onto her back and wriggle like she's dying :) then I say "are you alive?" and she'll leap up and goof about!
My dobe can close doors, hi 5 and bow, also spin both directions and give me a cuddle (two paws on my right shoulder, pulling me to him) :)
We taught our boxer to ring a 'bell' that we placed on the backdoor when he needs to go out - he now plays tunes on the thing everytime he wants the backdoor, kitchen door, dinner......... well, he is still a puppy so we can forgive him the over acting :)
Ha ha, My BC will "die" when shot and actually hold his breath, he does a screaming dying speech and when I say "dead dogs don't talk" he holds his breath, freaky!! He will also do 5, speak and find lots of different items by name which is helpfull, and he will do a roly poly and keep rolling until he hits something or I tell him to stop. :-D My 6 1/2 month pup will give 5, speak, wave and do all of the other obedience stuff, wait sit etc.
Which one, Deef or Kelly? Has to be Kel, king of comedy surely! When are you going to orgainise Sol's pics, he'll be competing before you get round to it! :p
Actually it's Deef, Kelly is so funny already he doesn't need to lower himself to do tricks LOL I don't have a digital camera so I have to get pictures the old fashioned way. I will be collecting the piccies on Friday and also ordering my digital camera (can't you tell it's payday!!) I have found myself quite a good one so soon you will be inundated with piccies then you will be sorry!! :-D
My ckcs does paw (yes boring), high 5 (hits your hand at about her face height) and high high five (hits both hands at my waist height with both paws). She also does the ignore my trick every time i call her and the i can't hear you when told to get off sofa or bed. The other does the aren't i a cutie pie trick when shes done something wrong. Just like kids!!! LOL

I don't know if you could call it a trick as such but my boy can make you give up your seat on his favourite spot on the sofa. He stands by the door, basically crossing his legs with a look that says 'hurry up Mum, I'm dying for a wee..' and when you get up and open the door for him, he darts back past you and up onto the spot on the sofa where you were sitting, at which point he will play deaf and totally ignore your 'off' commands
LOL LOL LOL Deef does that but he sits and shuffles, lifts his bottom slightly and looks at it and sits down really quick again. He had some digestion problems as a pup and this was his way of telling me that he just couldn't hold it any more and my carpet was about to get really smelly (yuk) he does it now to get me to take him out, he is doing it at the moment cos I am on here and obviously he is more important, he now adds singing to the whole action just to make me listen

Henry stands on his back legs and walks backward like that - I just encouraged him to do it on command though, he learned it himself! And my Yankee rolls over. :-)
Not so much a trick as a good idea gone bad . . .
We hung a metal wind chime on our back door at puppy head height and taught him (boxer pup) to 'ring' if he wanted the door open for a toilet. After a while he cracked it and we were awful proud.
Until he then started using it to ask for treats, go in the kitchen, get a cuddle, ask for his ball, call his big bro etc. etc. The thing now rings constantly and is battered with some of the tubes missing. It's like the upstairs Granny in 'Ello 'Ello.
