here - a good book is 'Dalmatians' by John Wholey and Gwen Eady. Basically, they're a very active, very sensitive and emotionally demanding breed who don't thrive without human company - not a breed to be left alone for long periods without becoming extremely destructive! They don't mature mentally till about 8 or 9
years of age; they shed hair continually, with a couple of huge snowstorm moults each year. They're usually fine with their own 'family' cats, but any others are purely for chasing!
