Hi, my litter is now 22 days old, i tried 2 days ago giving them baby rice mixed with lactol but none of them seemed at all interested. Yesterday however i softened the mothers food with water ( she is being fed a complete puppy food ) and it was as if they couldnt get enough of it. My question is how much and how often should they be having this at this stage of weaning, it is many years since my last litter and they all were happy with the rice to start off with. Also could someone please advise me on fleas, i did post on the visitors section because i had trouble logging in. I found a flea yesterday on one of the pups phoned my vet but he was closed, so i bought bob martin drops that say can be used from 2 weeks of age but i am a little afraid to use them on the babies and their mother.

I use the soaked puppy food mixed with the puppy milk and let them have as much as they want four times a day, Mum clears what is left.

Brainless your right, mum clears what is left, but greedy puppies would scoff it all !!! i have to put mum outside to make sure the little uns get fed !

Oh yes Mum has to be removed until pups have had theri fill :D :D :D
