Topic Dog Boards / Health / Which Vitamin supplement for puppies

I think my 9 week old pup may be suffering a mineral defiency as she is obsessed with eating and licking dirt.
My 7 month old does it to but not quite as obsessivly.
Can anyone reccomend me a good supplement to make sure neither are lacking in anything, that is reasonbly priced and that I could obtain today if possible.
They are both fed on a wheat/gluten free complete dry puppy food.
Thanks Bev

If you are feeding a good quality commercial food then it should contain all a dog needs in the way of minerals.

If you feel that there may be a problem I would get your vets advice. over supplementation with some minerals etc may prove detrimental.

The only exception to this would be Fish Body Oil and Vitamin E, and possibly Vitamin C.

More than likely it will be just a habit doubt very much that it is a deficiency.  She's just copying what she saw her mum do hopefully.

I read somewhere that it is good to give your puppy vitamin B supplements prior and after vaccinations

Is this the case?
