If some of you remember, i said on one of my post's once that i phoned the rspca about 2 dogs these gypsies have and do not look after at all. the rspca promised they would sort it out and ring me back and tell me the result.
A long time later.. the 2 dogs are still living outside, right by a main road and a moterway, sleeping on rough gravel and stones, their coats matted and dirty, and only being fed a few scraps every night.. They are left outside in the sweltering heat and the torrentail rain.
It upsets me so so much :-( shouldn't they have done something?
Sounds like the RSCPCA ! tell them the TV camera crews are coming and I bet they will turn up....:)

Yeah, my friend called them on a woman who had gone senile and was neglecting her 4 Cavaliers. After many calls, one was left outside by accident and froze to death, and one escaped, was hit by a car, dragged itself home and died in the garden. Then the woman died (sorry, but I cheered when my friend told me!) and they rescued the other 2, who were so neglected that their collars had cut into their necks and their claws had circled round and gone back through the flesh. My friend has the one she originally bred (the woman wasn't senile then obviously) and the other one has been rehomed. But the RSPCA were utterly useless every time they were called. :-( :-(
Typical RSPCA, try and get someone else to complain aswel maybe then they will see it as a problem. There useless!

This may be a little cynical, but you could try telling them that there was anew litter of pups and they were docking the pups tails - would probably bring them out fast enough!

Check out the yellow pages or www.yell.co.uk or www.dogpages.org.uk for rescues in your area.
Might be best to prioritize any ones such as dogs trust, blue cross (main ones)
Were the dogs you saw any particular breed? A breed club would be EXTREMLY willing to help.
Its really good of you to try and help these dogs :) Most people would just feel sorry for them but turn a blind eye :(
One is a white alsation, and one was some sort of little terrier. so they are different breeds so i guess different organisations
They have been living there for a long time now i feel so sorry for them :-(

One organisation might be willing to take them both on! Maybe its worth a shot contacting one thats near you.
Its so sad, how can people treat dogs like this and get away with it :(?

Most authorities, be it rspca or the police, are too afraid to go into Pikey camps :( try the docking idea....most likely to work :)
I've read many posts from this site and others about how bad the rspca are and was a bit dubious about calling them on my neighbours dogs. I decided to do so and they were out 2 days later and a result has been made.
Phone them again & again & again and get your friends/neighbours to phone, they will get the message.

Maybe---- but... i dont think they can act on something that 'might' happen, only on things that HAVE happened.
This is why they cannot come and remove a dog from a situation where it 'might' starve to death -- they have to wait a whole lot longer.
Not their rules but the law within which they have to work.
Howeverrrrrrrr, im most certainly NOT defending them. If they can spend chr!st knows how much on backing the banning of hunting, surely they could do the same for changing the laws regarding animal cruelty??
Em
The thing that get's me most is that i don't even think they have been to check the dogs.. my mom drives past lots of times everyday (to and from work, shops, schools etc)
and everytime i ask her and my nice neighbours that love dogs if they have seen anything.. the answer is allways 'no sorry :-( '
