hi, my family and i have jus got a new puppy and not too sure what he is, i know his mother was a King Charles Spaniel but not sure what his father is and i think it might have been a Rottweiler 'cause our puppy jus looks like a short, stumpy Rottweiler. is it possible that he could be a King Charles Spaniel cross Rottweiler, like, is that possible? can those two breeds, um,...make puppies? please write back, thanks, Charles.

They could but I feel sorry for the poor mother if that was the cross!!!

If it's the the same colour as a rottie (black and tan) then it could be a few breds in fact CKCS come in black and tan.  Without a more detailed discription / photo it's hard to say but I think it would be unlikely and I hope it's not this cross because that would not have been a nice experience for a king charles!

Hi Guest, why not join the forum and you can send a photo, or email me one at lucy@luphen.co.uk. He might just be a chubby King Charles (or Cavalier) that hasn't yet got a coat - was the breeder or wherever you got him from sure he was a crossbreed? Is he particularly large for a King Charles? Would love to see a photo!

A coule of years ago, in the vetsx waiting room, I saw a largish, fat,  Black & Tan Cavalier, he had been clipped off, and looked very like a mini rotti.  Perhaps your dog is like this one.
bye
Gwen
