Hi everyone, I am totally new to this .... looks good.  When I return from hols (30 Aug), I am planning on getting a Golden Retriever bitch.  I already have 2 little dogs (dog and bitch).  I also work 9am-3.30pm.  Probably be a good idea if I got a 6mth+ old retriever - advice needed please.  (Obviously I'd take a week off with my new addition to settle her in).

I don't think it is a good idea for you to get another puppy or young dog as you are out at work for most of the day. I am totally against leaving your dogs at home all day while you are at work. Do you have a dog walker to come in while you are at work? One dog or three dogs it is unfair to leave them at home alone for 6 hours a day. Do they have access to the garden in that time? Sorry might seem harsh but you need to think of your dogs. Maybe your current dogs don't want to be left with a puppy or young dog to anoy them all daywhile you are at work, what if something happened? Have you really though this through proberly.
