Can anyone give me some advice & answer some queries on Chihuahua breeding?

Any advice would be much appeciated

I know that you shouldn't really breed from a bitch under 4 pounds in weight & she should be on the upper weight limit  but what is the ideal weight for a Chihuahua for breeding?

A bitch that is going to be used for breeding, which food should be feed throughtout puppyhood into adulthood to ensure she gets all the nutrients etc.

I know that alot of breeders feed their bitch's chicken/mince and large portions to enable them to gain more weight so the bitch's are not small for whelping but is this really necessary?

What is the best way to feed a Chihuahua from a puppy into adulthood for breeding to ensure she not under weight but is not over weight what sort of quantity of food should be feed as a general guide?

Thankyou to anyone in advance for any advice given

In my opinion putting the weight of a Chihuahua up or down doesnt make any sense in the  breeding of a tiny dog, the reason they shouldnt be bred from when they are small and under 4lb is the size of the pelvis, if the pups are too big they cant pass through the pelvis and the mother would have to have a ceasarian op.

If you are a novice to breeding you are going to need to consult your bitches breeder for advise as to her suitability for breeding from all aspects, not just size, together with close guidance on a suitable stud so while you are doing that I would take the opportunity to pick their brains on diet etc.
