Well the day finally arrived (Tuesday) for Charlie to, our 11 wk old border terrier pup to venture out into "the big wide world".  He was absolutely fantastic, behaved impeccably and loved sniffing most of the pavement and all of our neighbours' walls as he went along.  We took it very slowly (as suggested) and didn't go too far - just down our road and back again.  What was fantastic was that the previous week, when we had shown him his lead, he had got into his bed with his ears flat but the following day after his first "walk", when shown the lead he was nearly jumping for joy!!!  Last night we took him in the car to some local playing fields which he loved.  We start puppy training classes on Sunday - wish us luck! Great news Loz - Charlie sounds like he's going to love everything you do together :)  Good luck for Sunday and his training class - bet he's the star attraction!
