I want to change Cyrus over from Burns to Nature Diet and know change needs to be gradual but I don`t know how much of each I should use over his meals as we change over etc

He currently has 3/4 of a pint cup of burns twice a day how much nature diet should I put in each meal/day to change over

Hi,

when changing foods with any of mine I reduce the existing diet by 25% and replace with 25% of the recommended amount of the new diet.  I don't know what breed you have or how old so can't be specific but there will be an approx weight guide on the packaging of ND from which you can estimate how much per day your dog needs.  These estimates tend to be in excess of what your dog actually requires - common practice with all feeding guides  ;)  -  bear in mind the quantities given will be a daily allowance so it should be adjusted proportionately with how many times daily you feed your dog.

Gradually reduce the amount of Burns and increase the quantity of ND over 10-12 days if a puppy or 7-10 days if an adult.   Regards, Teri :)
