I was wondering if the puppy does not have all 28 of it's milk teeth, will that mean it will be missing some adult teeth?  I know it is usually the premolars that come up missing but have some of you bred dogs where the puppies are missing teeth and they have all their teeth as an adult, just curious?

I have never counted baby teeth :D

Nor me - never thought to. Have to admit, I am happy if a pup lets me have a quick look, but try not to think too much about mouths until second teeth are starting to sprout, as mouths still forming cause too much worry when there is so much else to worry about!

A long, long time ago I got one of my pups a little later than norm - he was 13 weeks at the time and he looked like every second tooth was missing :D

He developed a wonderful deep scissor bite and full dentition in his permanent teeth ;)   So, I don't make a huge thing out of number of teeth as young pups, he certainly proved that it didn't have any bearing on the end result.

Regards, Teri :)
