Hi all
Can you help me. I am not sure whether to get an ipod shuffle or an ipod mini. Not a huge difference in price. I don't need many Gigs. I don't want to load loads of songs. I would like to listen to audio books sometimes. Can I find my place again easily.
Any ipod users out there?
Thanks all :)

I have a Shuffle and it's great. Very easy to use and if you like walking/running it fits into a very neat little sportwrap/armband (£19.99 in HMV, bit cheaper than the Apple one).

I do favour the shuffle for its size and I think it'd be better for the gym. The only thing I'm worried about is audio books - if i listen to about 1 hour will I find my place again easily or will it be 'shuffled' with the music? Is it eiher music or books?

When I turn my shuffle back on it starts where I left off. You have a choice of controls - play in order position or shuffle songs position.

Noooo, don't get a stupid ipod!
I got mine for christmas then a few months later when I finally had about 1,500 songs on it, it went and crashed! And it always liked turning itself off... and half the time itunes never recognised it...
Luckily we still had the receipt and managed to get a refund.

Ipods aren't as great as they are made out to be, well mine wasn't anyway!!
Stick to MP3 players.. you can get some really nice small ones now that are just as good as ipods, if not better, and a fraction of the price!! :)

My daughter had an apple ipod 20 thingy (white one) for christmas and it is rubbish, kept freezing, crashing computer, wouldn't play, etc, etc and Comet would not give us a refund just referred us to Apple, who have replaced it three times and now it has gone back to them a fourth time and they keep resisting giving us a refund.  Comet said Apple have reserved the right to deal with service and replacement/refunds so won't help, but I thought consumers had a contract with the shop, not the manufacturer?

Oh yeah, I forgot the slowness and crashing my computer part too.
It's all very well they make out they can store up to 10,000 songs (40 GB) but they don't seem to mention all the trouble it causes!

I'm not sure about itunes with an mp3 player, I think usually they give you thier own software.

I have a sony mp3 for under £200 and its a lot quicker and better than my ipod ever was. It's just as easy to put music on it, takes about the same time as itunes.

Where do you download from? I don't want to just record CDs I already have, I want to download tracks I like. I'm fed up of buying a CD and only liking a couple of tracks. I'd much rather download selected tracks from a CD :)
