Where can I find out where there are dog friendly beaches in northern england. I am in yorkshire so somewhere thats not too far from me will do.
Whereabouts exactly are you Ioxia? We are North Yorks and I know of a few beaches where dogs are allowed...we have a huge stretch of beach from South Gare(mouth of the Tees) and only a small bit of it bans dogs during the summer months.
Would this be any good?
Also there is Sandsend but I'm not sure if they allow dogs during the summer as I haven't been since February....I'll have a look :)

If you come to Scarborough, Whitby or Filey there are areas of beach where dogs are allowed on BUT always check the tide times, as they are the areas usually covered first by the tide, so make sure if you want to go on the beach you go at low tide.

Cayton Bay is very nice, and allows dogs all year round, I think. It's just south of Scarborough.
It is always worth checking with www.dogstrust.org.uk they have a database of info from local dog owners about places to go with your dogs, from dog friendly accomodation to days out and places to eat. You can help increase or improve the list by adding your own favourite places and comments too. A great resource for our four legged friends.
