My girl is due anytime now.I'm getting e mails from people asking me not to dock the pups tails.I plan to do so at 3 days old and am a member of the council of docked breeds and have an excellent vet!
What do you recommend?

If you want to dock but people are asking you to not dock then I would suggest that they pay you for their pup BEFORE they are 3 days old....non returnable.

It's up to you! How many people are there on your waiting list who specifically want docked dogs?

If these are people that have booked a puppy, then yes I agree with Archer, take full payment on the pup immediately and leave the tails on those pups. If these are busybodys trying to influence your decisions, then ignore and keep your e-mail records, for future reference.

The problem I had was, how would people know which pup would be suitable for them at such a young age.  One owner said she would like the tail left on, and I refused, but she ended up having a different dog anyway other than the one she chose immediately after birth.  One of the other pups developed into one who was far more suitable in personality than her original choice.
