We're getting a dog soon, but have just found out our eldest daughter's boy-friend is allergic to dogs.

Luckily they don't live nearby, but do visit every couple of months. It seems a shame to have to banish him to the garden full-time   (The boyfriend I mean, not the new dog)

Seriously, any ideas to prevent problems.

He has actually had no recent allergy problems, since none of his friends or family has a dog.

Bye

There is a product called Petal Cleanse http://www.bio-life.co.uk/ which is supposed to help, I've heard very good things about it, but I've never had to use it myself.

Brush your dog everyday, use a vaccum with a hepa filter frequently. Have some claritin pills on hand, also having an air purifer gets rid of some dander in the air which also is bad for allergies.
