Are there any sites which show pictures of an x-ray scoring 0/0.  I would just love to see one as looking at my girls scans who scored 5/5 I can't really see anything wrong with them.  Knowing my luck my girl whose have just been sent off for scoring won't be 0/0 but even the vet said that they were really good and I'd love to see the differences.

Have look on the BVA website. www.bva.co.uk  Then click on 'public' then on Canine health issues, and then on the hip scheme. This is a pdf file, there are pictures there of hips, one normal although it does not say 0/0 and one of 98 total, the difference is clear.

I can't open up pdf files on this silly computer.  Can't wait to get a new one :d  But thanks anyway!

Tehg BVA have a leaflet called something like Hip dysplasia Scoring criteria.  This has x-rays of each aspect in each possible score from 0 to 6.  You can get it free from them.  It is very interesting though quite technical and needs absorbing a bit at a time with looking at the plates shown.

to be honest as 5/5 is a relatively low score you should not really be able to see any 'flaws' - that s still considered as good.  to be obvious to the untrained eye (and without the bva measurements ) likely to only spot if quite high.  I've looked at quite a lot and can only tell when bad!!
