My shih tzu "Scruffles" (Toranaga The Orient Express) is twelve years old in November and has shown no signs of ageing or ill health. Today he appears to have co,pletlely lost the use of his cak legs. The vet has asked me to take him tomorrow morning for an X-ray. In the meantime he has been given an anti-inflammatory injection and a sedative, but has not shown any signs of pain or discomfort.  Can anyone tell me if this is a common problem with this breed. We are expecting the worst. What an amazing dog, friend and companion he has been.
