Topic Dog Boards / Health / problem after neutering

I am wondering if anyone has seen this problem. We have a 1 yr old Male Golden Doodle,( cross between a Male Miniture Poodle and a Female Golden Retriever). He is a wonderful tempered dog. We had him neutered between four and six months and he wore the cone as perscribed by the vet. After the wound healed, we removed the cone and noticed after a week that he would bite the tip of his penis ( not where his testicles were). Thinking it was related to the neutering, we asked the vet and she indicated it was not the cause. To date, he has been scraped for mange, treated for infection, his penis has been biopsied, and he has to wear the cone constantly. We were frustrated and took him to another vet who also thought it was not related to his neutering and suggested that he may need psychological medication for biting his penis. He never did this before the neutering and I think they messsed up.

Any reply would be welcomed.
