Hi guest i haven't got that much experience but they might have been still born because she had infection or some of them were deformed.  No one will give you abuse but what i will say is you should have bought the book of the bitch.  For the others that are alive weigh them and see what they way write it down and then weigh them each day to make sure they're gaining weight if they start gaining wait there's a very good chance they'll survive. Get a little book and write every little change you see in them down so you can refer to it.  Some one else will be on soon and give you some good tips.  I hope this helps abit.

Good luck, warm regards Susan

Just in case more are born,
Are you absolutely sure they are stillborn?  Some puppies can be born 'flat' and need a little help to get going.  First clear the head and nose of amniotic sac and open the pups mouth, clear any mucous and if the tongue is pink then it's worth trying to get the pup breathing, pinch its nose and hopefully it will sneeze, then you can start rubbing it vigorously in a towel to dry it and get it breathing, squeaking from the pup and squirming is a good indication that you have it breathing.  If the pup doesn't sneeze, try holding it in your hands head down and supporting the head with two fingers, swing the pup downwards smoothly (make sure you don't let the pup fly out of your hands, it will be very slippery) then clear any mucous and try pinching its nose etc.  If they have been born a while this information will be of no use.

Tho it's a little late in the day, I still recommend that you get "The Whelping and Rearing of Puppies" by Muriel P Lee  and "The Book of the Bitch"  as soon as possible, these are the two most useful books which you really should have if you intend to breed.  They will still be useful after the pups are safely born as there is much information on care of the bitch post whelping and recognising problems in the bitch and the pups, some of which can be life threatening and need urgent veterinary attention.

Hope this helps

10 is a big litter and very rare will 100% of the litter be born alive just make sur you can count for all the placentas and you might want to give her a shot of oxytocin

10 is not that big for a Rottie and 50% is a high number to lose. Some rotties have as much as 14.

Are you sure they are dead, have you rubbed them vigerously for a good long few mins? are they warm. THing is if they are still born there isn't much you can do once they are here in fact there isn't anything BUT if they are weak puppies you could get to work on them.

it is not uncommon for people to think they are dead and around they come.

Don't supposed you have a revivant type drops??
