hi, a few months ago, i mentioned about my old tyme bully and his finicky eating habits. well, little has changed. he;ll eat well for a couple of days then hardly bother for 4 or 5 days. he is nearly one now and i realise this is still a very important time for him growing. i was thinking of of trying a raw diet. would this be ok? how much should i feed him? he is now 35kgs. thanks in advance

If he is picky I would suggest that the answer is what ever he will eat, check to see if you can feel his ribs on a regular basis (you should be able to feel them but not see them). Adjust volumes accordingly.

Decide on what you feel is best for him and stick to it.If you want to try Barf then give it a go.It certainly won't do him any harm.If he doesn't eat remove the food after 5 mins and feed NOTHING till his next meal time....not even treats.
If he is a mature dog then he should be on 3% of his body weight although this is only a guide so at 35kg start of by feeding him 2 1/2lbs and see how he goes from there.

My dog is a little over a year old.  He is also a really picky eater when it comes to dog food.  You really should pick one dog food and stick with it.  My dog is picky and if i change his dog food then he doesnt eat as well for a few days then he slowly starts to eat it again.  Also chainging a dogs diet can result in diherria (sorry about spelling)
