Why is it that hotels still use blankets and sheets,just come back from a short break in norfolk the hotel was lovely,hardly slept sheets and blankets kept falling off the bed throughout the night,the weather was awful ,glad to be back home to my big snuggle duvet,however we did have one nice day on the broads the dogs loved it.

Easier and cheaper for dry cleaning I suppose. Plus some ppl like to be warmer/cooler than others so can always throw a couple of blankets off, whereas with a duvet you are stuck with the whole thing.

It annoys me as well, especially when you are abroad, and they put the blankets as tight as they can get them. I always end up making a real mess of the sheets and everything trying to free my feet when I 'm asleep! :( But I can see why they do it, I will have to get into the habit of un-doing the bed before I go to sleep!
