Right I need a brainstorm.
My aunts little Maltese has suddenly started dragging his back legs and not using them, the vet said it was loose knee caps and not to worry he has just stopped using them because he is uncomfortable, but I tried getting him to swim in the bath and he will not use them so I need ideas of anything else it might be in case I have not thought of something, or if your small dog had loose kneecaps - not a bad case just a bit loose and one clicks, did they stop walking??

How old is the dog?  I thought it was simple surgery to deepen the grove the knee cap sits in to stop it slipping?

the dog is 14 months, vet says he is too young for surgery and its not that severe, which I why I am concerned that it might be something else, I just can't think what else it could be?

It could be something to do with his nerves?  I hope he gets better.
