My 6 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback bitch and i entered a companion show yesterday our first time out. We entered AV 6-12 puppy and got a 1st against shibu inu, golden retriever, bulldog, giant poodle, min poodle, basset and CKC. We went in for best in show and to my utter surprise got BPIS and BIS.......I am over the moon and so proud of my little girl, now we need lots of practice for Richmond in september.

Well done for your first time out.Mine was three weeks ago,went all the way from the midlands to Co.Durham with my 7mth old puppy,fairly confident.She is so out going and nothing fazes her,or so I thought!! I looked every inch the contender,dressed to kill,and the puppy looked stunning.I got out the car,she was so happy and rushing to meet everyone.
Waited  for minor puppy bitch and the dog point blank refused to walk!!
So that was the end of that little foray.To be honest though myself and my friend havent stopped laughing,she looked like Miss Marple and I looked like Jean Brodie,we looked like real professionals!!! And then the puppy acted like she had suction pads for paws!! Oh well,theres always next time!!
