My 10 month old puppy has just started her season.  Her mother is due for a season in 2 months time.  Could anyone tell me if the puppy can bring on the mother's season early.  It may sound a silly question to ask but I am sure I have heard this can happen.  Can anyone let me know if this has happened with their bitches.  Thanks.

I have heard that bitches living in the same household can adjust their cycles so that they all come in around the same time, so I wouldn't be surprised if your bitch came in early. My friend once had 5 at once in season!!!

She may well do this... I have 6 bitches, Emma (alpha) always comes in season 1st, with the others following suit within 3/4 days.  But, it may not happen this way, with the pup coming into season, mum may well hold off until her due time, its highly unlikely that pup has attained Alpha status.  I have 4 bitches in season at the moment with another 2 on a hormonal rollercoaster. Its like living in a hormonal timebomb lol PMS, the lot, (new reality TV programme, living with bitches, get me out of here :D :D :P )

Yes, in my house I have had three bitches come into season on the same day before. Usually there is a few days between them coming in.

I have just noticed today that my male has become interested in the older bitch again, so perhaps it won't be too long before she comes into season.  Hope so, as I intend to mate with them and it would be better now that in a few months time as it's too near christmas.   I suppose its more convenient if they have seasons together - how on earth do you people cope with 5/6 bitches at the same time.

Most certainly especially if they are within a mont or so of the time they are due.  Bitches in the smae household generally eventually synchronise their seasons and come in around the smae time.

My two came in within 10 days of each other, one was due and the other early.  Also if youyr bitch is late haveing ehr stay around an in season bitch should bring her in.
