Topic Dog Boards / Health / sickness , red gums

Just wondering if anyone could give me some advice. My dog was sick earlier this afternoon after being in the garden , was trying to eat grass , and now have looked at her gums and they are very red. I know pink is the normal colour and if they are light it may indicate something is wrong but should I be worried if they are red or am I being over cautious. She is also quiet and tired but this could be from playing in the garden I suppose. Any advice would be very much welcomed.

Many thanks , Kate

Hi Kate

If you are worried in any way why not take a trip to the vets to put your mind at rest. It may be nothing but why not play safe.
How is she today? I hope she is feeling better, big hugs.

I agree, I would keep a watchful eye on her and if she does not get her energy back I would make a trip to the vet's office, at the very least I would phone the vet office and ask his/her opinion.  Hope she is feeling much better :-)
