Hi,
We are having a few problems with our 7 month old springer,we had 2 dogs till a month ago when our patterdale went missing, and our springer is now on her own and missing his company. She has stuck to me like a piece of chewing gum.we tried putting her in the kennel at night and having around us during the day, problem was as soon as it got light she was howling barking and scratching at the door.So we tried having her in the house at night with us in the bedroom, she wouldn't settle there either and wouldn't sleep on her bed,so we have put her back outside with the kennel door left permantly open and she has full use of the garden,so now she is howling barking and scratching at the back door, can any of you offer us any advice she is driving us nuts!

Have you thought about using a Dog Appeasing Pheramone defuser (DAP).  It helps grieving dogs by releasing the same pheramone as a nursing bitch, which helps them to settle down.
