my old tyme bully has what looks like an ear infection. he is constantly scratching it and is now get red and slightly inflamed. inside his ear, there is a lot of wax and it also looks a little 'wet'. should we go straiht to the vets or is there anything else i should try first. btw, i hace ome canaural drops in the cupboard. should i give these a try?

I wouldn't put anything into your dogs ear at all, go and see the vet ;)

Ears are such delicate things,  I think it's best to get the Vet to examine it and diagnose from there.......

Could well be ear mites.  Better to let the vet have a
look inside and confirm then it is easily treated.
It may be a grass seed that has gone in the ear and got stuck!!
