hi there

Once they are out of his coat give him a bath, or just bathe the underneath if preffered, but wash clean with shampoo, then put lots of conditioner (human is fine) on his belly, make sure you rub it in well, leave for a few minutes and rinse out.

You should find that by making the coat soft and silky the tangles will not appear so frequently.

The tangles are from his undercoat he needs to be groomed every couple of days and a good groom doing his legs behind the ears and feet once a week.Run your hands around his body occasionally to keep him tangle free as it can become a big problem if you dont groom <<regularily>>>

There is a matt splitter that you can buy from mikki cost about £2.00 you just pull it through the tangles and then comb or more professional grooming equipment from dog shows or more local pets at home.

I use shampoos etc from plush puppy which are specific for the particular  beardie coat which I find excellent eventhough I dont bath them very often as a good grooming routine is usually sufficient.
Please......please dont let him get to many knots and tangles as it can be disasterous and you will have to have him cut.
