I know with horses if your nervous you can get scent to put on your hands to stop the nervousiness going to your horse, can you buy something like this so your nervousiness isn't transmitting down the lead to your dog?  or is that a silly idea because they can read your body language.

Susan the best thing you can do is get yourself some rescue remedy and then as you go in the ring pop a mint or some chewing gum in your mouth  ;)
