Hi All,

I have 2 cocker spaniel boys, 1 is 1 yrs old and the other is 2 1/2 now.  For about the last 6 months, when we walking them, if we come across a dog that the older one never knew before we had the younger one, he growls at them.  If he knew them before then he's fine.  He never shows any agression to our other dog or us.  It only seems to be a bit of growling and barking, but it can get a little embarrasing, especially when I know what a bit softey.

Anyway, has anyone any ideas why he does this.  Does he feel he needs to protect our younger dog for some reason?

All answers will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Claire
