Where do I start, my dog had ear surgery last week (shook his ears and caused a huge blood blister on ear and was operated on). He has still got stitches in and wound now healing. He was only in vets for one night and seemed ok. After 3 - 4 days at home he started sneezing, occasionally. Now he sneezes on exertion and whenever. Even woke him up through the night to have a rare old sneezing fit. Anyway yesterday he started this funny noise from his throat or nose/mouth. I cant say if it is classed as a cough, but his sounds like it comes from lungs or chest...
It is a bit odd. I rang the vets on Friday and they said probably a grass eed stuck up nose and he will sneeze it out.
Anywayhe would not eat his usual food for breakfast or tea yesterday and has not touched any today. My concern is that he had major bowel surgery in August last year and has to have a big dose of Liquid Paraffin every meal to work the bowels, so not eating is a big worry. Has anyone had experience of this sneezing - Oh yes and I personally think his eyes look tired and a bit weepy and his nose seems runny and keeps salivering.
Only one thing to mention and thats that he will still sit and wiat for other food which we are eating - so he will eat our food.
I am at the vets this week, however I will have to ring tommorow and get him in if he will only eat whatwe have got.
Doea this sound like any Kennel cough symptom - I have another dog and shes okay - Is a kennel cough a normal cough?

Have to say that it sounds like he could be starting KC, but then again it could be hayfever ;) I'd get the vet to check him ;)

Thanks Dill,
He has calmed down a bit this afternoon, however I am not sure if that is the calm before the storm.
Bless him, hes such a happy dog normally. Our other one is okay so far, she has had a couple of sneezes but I am hoping that it is simply the weather or heat.
Thanks for message
