Does anyone know how I can get the smell of cat wee out of my son's trainers? (and no, it isn't just the smell of his feet - I think one of the cats decided it was a good loo!)  I've sprayed them with litter tray odour remover (!) but the smell lingers!  Can they go in the washing machine or will I ruin them?

I would love some help on this too as when my girl is calling she is weeing all over the dogs bedding & one of my leather chairs even though I change her liter daily.  The stench is awful, I've bought some feliway to try & deter her for next call but some ideas as to get rid of the current smelly areas would be good.  The beds can be machine washed but I can't get a leather chair into the w/machine!

Sprinkle inside liberally with bicarbonate of soda, leave overnight then wash in the washing machine.  It works a treat for sweaty cheesy feet (which then doesn't tend to come back again) and should be fine for cat pee too!

Just make sure that when you put them in the washing machine you put each shoe in an old pillow case or something, helps to reduce the damage to the shoe... and your drum :D

My cat sprayed against the radiator... above my trainers - i just threw them in the wash on a low temp and they came out fine, no smell nothing. Probably cleaner than before :)

The bio washing powder is the thing - removes all smell!

Christine

When I bred Burmese I had the same problem, the stud owner recommended Odour-Kill and it is very effective (but sort of smells of bubblegum  )
