My male puppy is somewhat over confident when meeting other dogs off lead he goes flying up to them yapping, but then lies on his back when he gets to them, what shall i do, because he will bark either on or off the lead and ignoring him doesnt work! Help pleeease xxxx

You don't say how old he is, but generally the more dogs he meets the better he'll become (simply because they'll lose their novelty value!). Do you take him to training classes - that'd help him learn how to behave around other dogs.

His lying on his back when he reaches other dogsis a normal healthy action from a puppy - the submissive pose inhibits older (well-socialised) dogs from attacking him.
