My 12wk old boxer pup has very loose pooh, she is on rmb and had been doing well. I had also been feeding tripe in the mornings with some veg. Now I have read before that if I just feed the chicken for a few days the looseness should clear up and I can re-introduce other raw foods slowly. Im not sure what has caused the looseness, I can only guess that I gave too much veg and she had just had her first training class with kibble as training treats.
Your input would be appreciated
thanks
If you mix white rice with the chicken that usually helps with the stool. I know thats what we do at my work. But feed her nothing else. Just the chicken and white rice. Feed her that until her stool is solid for atleast a day. Has she been vomiting?

Hello,
Do you mean the chicken you buy in the supermarket or Chicken mince you get from the Pet shops?
Just curious as my dogs seem to suffer with the runs quite a lot!

what veges are you feeding as you should feed a mixture of above ground veges and below since some are binding and some loosen motions.

If a dog has loose motions then any chicken since it is bland and easily digestible is suitable to to be fed. However if your dog suffers from loose motions often it would be worth having him vet checked and then maybe lloing at changing his diet since it is possible that he has an intolerance to what he is eating

I have just took my boxer puppy who is 11 weeks to the vet today with exactly the same thing. She has given me a pro-biotic paste and a course of antibiotics. She did say that it is very common in young pups to get the runs and she suggested feeding the chicken and rice for a few days and gradually introducing her normal JWB into the chicken and rice over a few days. It's still very worrying though is'nt it. After all they are just babies. Hope your puppy gets better soon.
Dont forget either that pups pick all kinds of stuff off the floor aswell and eat it. I wouldn't be suprised if this has a big part to play in it sometimes.
warm regards susan
