I know the weathers getting better. But for the cooler weather ahead, plus we live on the coast.I have been recommended a Snugglesafe heatpad for our new addition to the family. I heard they keep pups cosy, warm and helps keep them secure. Has anyone had experience with one and where can I buy one?

Hi Chris...i love the snuggle safe..it works best if you wrap it in a towel and place it in between two blankets...you should be able to find it online

Thanks for the info, I have looked at a website and they are now offering a free cosy cover. Do you think I need to still cover it with a blanket?

We bought ours from Pets at Home, it was very useful for when we had just brough our pup home(end of Jan and still therefore very cold even inside).

I also use it in the car when travelling to shows, quite often we are up and away before 3/4am so it was great to keep the dogs warm in the back(heat it up and leave it in there for 30 mins) til the car heated up.

If you are going to use on I would recommend you wrap it up in something as they become very, very hot, like a towel or blanket, as also some dogs(one of ours for instance!!) find them very nice to chew on, like a huge round Nylabone!

Hope this helps

Emily

Thanks for the info, I visited a site that said that it was totally non toxic, so your dog shouldn't come to any harm. I love the fact that it has no wires to chew through. You know what puppies can be like.

Hi Chris,

If you go to the following link you can find a the cover in shape of a fluffy dog to keep the pup warm and also have something to snuggle up to. It is non-toxic, so a great product for those new pups.
