Anton pushed his luck tonight and has come off the worst with a cut just under his eye, although his eye is slightly blood shot.  Only just happened and luckily it didn't bleed too much just looks worse than it really is.  What's the best thing to do as he's trying to rub his eye on the walls etc. ?  I don't think he'd cope with a collar and of course the other dogs would think that's great fun to tug around with or without him in it :d

Just tops my day as my neighbourhood is getting really bad and I wish I could move but unfortunately can't afford it.

Silly question, I know, but have you cleaned the cut with salty water? When mine have cut themselves under the eye I just kept the wound clean and dry. There's not much you can do to stop him scratching, though. It's bound to annoy him. Just keep trying to stop him scratching. In a day or so he'll forget about it. ;)

Well he's on antibiotics and I've got to see how he is in 2 days, he may need a stitch putting in the wound.  Quite surprised really as it didn't bleed too much.  I've been doing the salt water and he's really good and just sits their whilst I bathe it.  My real worry was that he's had an ear infection this last week so is shaking his head and I was worried that it would cause damage to his eye but he seems fine :d
