I am wondering if its normal for a rottie to have discharge from her eyes, she is 13 weeks. My OH said that this is normal for a puppy. They are not swollen or watery, she just gets a little bit of puss from both eyes.

Is it dry and hard or soft and runny
It may be a bit of sleep our spaniel gets it from time to time.It may also be worth consulting your vet.

Hi Sally
It is white and soft. I will go and get it checked out
Thanks

Any discharge from the eye is not normal.

If there is pus this means there is an infection/irritation of some kind, I would see a vet.

Take the puppy the vet, it's worth getting it checked out.

Good luck Sarah with your pup.

Warm regards Susan

Could it be pollen maybe? Kayla sometimes gets (sorry to be so descriptive!!) green/yellow coloured 'snot' in the corners of her eyes due to the pollen, she doesn't get it all the time and it doesn't bother her but looks not nice so last year we used an eye lotion from PAH to clean her eyes daily as it sometimes crusted up a bit, it worked really well.

Our GSD pup had a teary eye, which then got 'sleep' in it. It was a mild case of conjunctivitis and some ointment from the vet cleared it up in no time. If you do leave it though it could get worse and be harder to get rid of

Our CKCS gets 'sleep' in her eyes, we clean them first thing in the morning but by lunchtime they need cleaning again.  We did ask the vet about this when we took her for her second jab and he said that some breeds are prone to tearing, particularly when they are teething and as ours hasn't yet got all of her puppy teeth through we can expect her to tear.
