you make links by using the format on the second line but using the square brackets [ ] instead of the curly ones { }

I tried it - it's not much more than normal feeding discipline - and it made no difference to my 14 week old, who is hungry but shows no interest after a couple of mouthfuls. This is his fourth week of poor eating and he seems quite happy but is looking emaciated, with no more than a fifth of the recommended quantity going in each day. They say puppies will never starve themselves but this one is having a good try.
This has never happened to me before, and I can only put it down to lack of competition as I had always previously had two dogs eyeing up each other's food. I am surprised that you are experiencing this problem with more than one dog in the house.

Could be that you haven't got the right for for the puppy
One of my BCs would go 5/6 days without a proper meal until I found something he liked & I had other dogs with him Once I got him on a food that suited him he was ok I ended up feeding partially raw with him
my dog is soooooooo fussy hes been on burns but i was throwing away so much he went so long without eating he looked so thin si im now onn autarky but today have been told its rubbish i ve only bought a small bag he wont eat that either any ideas on a tasty food for a 7 month old bullmastiff

Missies Mum

Buffy has always been fussy and goes 5 days with probably only a mouthful of food a day, doesn't look to bad which is verys strange, we have tried everything, she even turns down cooked chicken breast and cooked lamb!! how manys PRT do that!! we have tried JWB every flavour, Nature Diet, bakers puppy and complete, I thought i'd cracked it when i found Royal Canin Sensible for fussy feeders.. well she just tried a mouthful and spat it out... gutted it cost £12.00. The animal sanctury are doing well out of us!! I cna just about get some Pet I/d food from the vets down but she turned her nose up at that for the last two days... she was actually sick yesterday so think its another trip to the vets!!
Any bright ideas, she so stubborn and I worry after a few days, though I could really do without another vets bill.

Blimey Chloe, you must be well frustrated by now :(
Whats your feeding routine? Do you put the bowl down and then pick it up after 10 minutes if she hasnt eaten? Is Buffy nervous or anxious around feeding time,is her bowl in a nice quiet area?
What does your vet say about this, does he have any idea's?
Have you seen the satin balls thread, you could try making a batch of that up.

Buffy is a bit of a worry wort anyway she has terrible SA, but is never left anymore and we are building up her confidence slowly, off to the vets at 1.50 today as she was sick earlier again in my car (nice!) I did just find her in the garden eating pooh not sure if its her own or fox pooh as she was in the rough at the top of the garden. Mum said she did it while she was with them last week, they get deer and fox's and cats.
Will chat with vets, she has not eaten for four days was a little sick yesterday and again today but is quite bright. SHe has a behaviourist, who helps us and always has her dinnr in the kitchen when its quiet (there is only two of us so we are fairly routine and quiet) I have to stay with her if she does eat or might eat anything or she follows me.
I knew a puppy was not going to be easy or cheap, but she's pushing both my brain and my finances, she is insured but this doesn't pay for all her special needs. Though was wondering if i could get them to put the behaviourist down.
Bloody animals, what with the horses as well!!
Oh well its all worth it when they make you laugh, you forgive them anything and everything including the nasty smell in my car!!

Hopefully the vet can fix what's going on,make sure he does blood tests etc. You want to get to the bottom of this!
Hopefully it is just a case of stubborness and she will soon settle.
I'll be thinking of you at 1:50 today, please let us know how your visit goes :)
Good luck

Will do, i'm getting everything done... i'm quite experienced with vets, 20 years of horses and other fluffys does that!! Bless shes curled up asleep on my lap!

Back from the vets, bit of a nightmare as it took ages to get some blood out of her, they are testing all her bodily functions including her pancreas etc etc vet speak! she has had some electrolytes and we have to wait for the blood results and we are going to try her on some white fish tomorrow am.
Will keep you informed
Chloe and Buffy
