my lab bitch is of excellent breed standard, excellent temprament, and has perfect hip/elbow scores and clear eye tests. i have done a lot of research into breeding and have decided that this is what i want to do with my lab. however, she has endorsements which say her puppies can not be registered with the kc which is a shame. i am no longer in touch with her breeder as they have moved abroad, so i was wondering if there is any other way i could get the endorsement removed?
another question i have about endorsements is, do some people sell their puppies without any endorsements if they think the puppy is of good breeding quality, or do most people sell all their puppies with endorsements no matter what?
thanks x

Only the breeder can lift the endorsements, I'm afraid, by contacting the Kennel Club. Many breeders automatically endorse all their registrations as it's almost impossible at the time of registration to know which are going to be good enough to breed from; these breeders tend to be the more reputable ones. If the breeder was sensible and caring enough to put endorsements on the registrations I'd have thought someone in the breed clubs might know of them and their new whereabouts? Have you tried contacting the secretaries of the breed clubs listed at the bottom of the Breed Standard to see if anyone has information? Good luck.

Most reputable breeders sell with endorsements which can be removed.  This si in order to discourage unethical breeding from unhealthy or stock of insufficient quality.

Contact the Kennel club and see if they ahve the breeders address.  If they are still in dogs chances are theywill have got export pedigrees for those they took with them.  they may not let you have the address but may be willing to forward a letter to them, or the same may be true of the breed clubs.
