We are hopefully going to be moving, not sure where to but probably somewhere costal. We have got the estate agents coming out to value the house tommorow. It will be dead weird i've been in this house 15 yrs. We are gona start doing car boot sales as we have way to much stuff. Im dreading leaving my dog trainings and having to find new ones i now know so many people and also know all the places with bad reputations.
When you know which part of the coast you will be moving to, why not put a post on here, I'm sure someone will be able to recommend a decent one. :-)
Hi Border....are you having to move because of your neighbours :-(
thats basically why we want out, its forever complants and reports. Next door has threatened to poison the dogs so we have to go out with them and check the garden for anything. We cant let our cats out as he already shot one with a pellet gun before. Is just beyond the joke now.
That is awful

Some people....
Hi, DONT MOVE TO MABLETHORPE!
Were also moving, hoping to go to yarmouth! if we ever sell our house! :(
OMG Border :-( i really do feel for you...they shouldn't be allowed to drive you out :-( they sound really evil people.
Good luck :-) i hope that you find somewhere with some friendly people around you :-)

Report them to the police for harrassment. Nobody should put up with that sort of threat :(

I agree with Lucy :-) No one should have to put up with that

They are bullies and need to be dealt with :) People think that they can get away with this sort of behaviour and need to be shown that it doesn't work. You moving is just feeding their misplaced and totally outrageous behaviour :)

Same here, we're also moving because of neighbours. It's been going on for 3 years, they report us over and over for barking dogs, dog poo etc. It's all lies and the council KNOWS it is, but by law they have to send out the complaints.... It's driving us insane. I daren't leave the house as they deliberately make the dogs bark by banging etc. We've been trying to move for a year now, now when we finally have buyers interested the house we were after has been sold... don't know what to do, I have searched through 3000 properties and there is not one suitable in the area we need (to enable hubby to get to work!!) an in our price range as we refuse to move anywhere again with neighbours, it HAS to be without. It's so unfair on the dogs when they can't even say one woof in play without being told to be quiet. :( :(
Anyway, GOOD LUCK, you're not alone, and I am SURE somebody can recommend a good dog training club once you have moved. I am determined to stay at mine......no matter what. All my friends are there.
We should start our own village really, dog lovers only, or perhaps that should be resposnible dog owners only!!! :)
Marianne
your situation sounds just like ours, we also have to have someone stay in as people have said they have seen the neighbours ringing the doorbell they guessed it was to start the dogs of so they can complain. We have had complaints of dogs playing with squeaky toys, dog going drastically down hill, beating the dogs, letting them attack cats the list goes on. Yes a village for dog people god that would be brill. If i win the lottery ill buy a village and ill sell houses nice n cheap to doggie people only with a big sign NO NASTY NEIGHBOURS lol.
Can you imagine it, all the dogs would be barking at each other through the gardens and that lol
Wouldnt bother me, theres quite a few dogs that live down my road, there always barking :) its what they do :)

the market is terrible at the moment though - wer'e in the same boat Marianne ( although not moving for the same reasons LOL) - we've had two offers on the house but both from folk who still have something to sell so effectively we are no further forward :( . We've lost both houses we fell in love with and looks like the third might have just gone to someone else - I do think the system is crazy in this country

- good luck !
Yvonne
I had dog hating neighbours one side of me and across the road from me, and it drove me nuts. The ones across the road used to let their spaniel foul outside my gate and then act as if they were pillars of the community. They sort of got their come uppance (not from me, more from fate) and I left and now live in a great house, very normal, in a normal neighbourhood, but with all the neighbours being really tolerant of each other and friendly. I was concerned when we moved in case we had the same again, but I can't fault these people.
Yvonne, sorry your lovely home isnt' sold yet. It's gorgeous!
We're starting to look at Norfolk properties - my oH is up there at the moment - not looking forward to all this. It'll be good when it's all over and we are there!

It's going to be difficult to hold your tongue, but remember selling your house also means selling your area and your neighbours to a prospective buyer ;) you will have to exercise some patience if they ask 'what are the neighbours like?'
hope all goes to plan and you find somewhere else where you won't get hassled for being an animal lover.
Our neighbours are great in fact although they have no animals of their own Spice is always around there sneaking strokes and cuddles :D
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves what it means to have good, friendly neighbours!
Jacqueline :)
My friend who is also moving lives in a sought after area of Bournemouth, near Hengistbury Head, but her house has been on the market for a over a week, and not a dicky bird!

Also don't forget now you have to tell prospective buyers if there is nuisance neighbours otherwise they can sue you if they have any problems with them in the future :(
