...since i last posted, i think nearly 6 months  i have been lurking on and off for that time though.
The last 6 months have been really busy for me to start off with in january one of our cats Arnie was ill and we were up and down to the vets with him, in one of his blood tests it revealed that he had a virus which can in some cases lead to feline aids, we were lucky and he got better and his blood tests revealed that the levels of virus were going down. At the same time Jack had an ear infection and was up and down each week for 2 months trying to sort it out. We then decided to go on holiday in march, me, my mum, 2 of my sisters, my nephew, a friend and her son, it cost more to board the animals then it did for us to go away  we went to surrey not far from longleat and all i can say about that is WOW.
When we got back arnies brother barney had to have some dental work done, and at the same time arnie was checked out to see how he was going the virus levels had remained the same so he was booked in for a check 3 months on.
going off track a bit but my nan got a kitten that proved to much for her so we took him on. The day that willie came home so did 2 more rabbits Maisie and Betsy so we now had 3 dogs, 3 goats, 3 birds, 3 rabbits a guinea pig and 4 cats. The day that willie came home should have been a happy one but thta evening we were watching tv when there was an almighty bang on the front door, first thought 'who the bl%*$y hell is that at this time of night' (10.30pm) it was one the neighbours kids all he said was your cats been hit come quick, so i go running up the road in pjs and slippers, only to see arnie laying out on their neighbours drive, sadly it was too late :( , (although he would have had to have been PTS anyway) he had been hit so hard that they had heard the crash in their back garden they thought their car had been hit, he had been skinned by the car from neck to hips, as at the time it was dark if it hadnt have been done on purpose there is no way that the car that hit him would have known that it was 'just a cat' it could have been a child. We read in our local paper a week later that on the same day not far from us somebody else had the same thing done to their cat, their cat made it home only to be found by their young daughter.
obviously we were all very upset about arnie and said no more cats at the moment.
then just when we think things are going ok Bruno (one of the rottis at work) and Bo (lab at work) had got out of the garden and ripped through the rabbit run killing the guinea and french lop babies. We now thinking not having a good year at all, only for a month later, our nextdoor neighbour says that he thinks that there is something wrong with barneys tail, when he comes in we discover it is broken so the next day off to the vets (again) and the decision to amputate it is made, when i pick him we are told that it was only ligaments holding the to halves together, and it is quite possible that he has had it slammed in a door.
fortunely things heve started to calm down, my mum has a new man in her life after nearly15 years and things are going well they plan to move in together next summer, and i was told that if i wish to go with them that i would have to get rid of some of my animals as they are selling both their houses, it is now sorted that i am renting our house off mum with my sister and a friend of hers when she has finished uni next year and comes home. So im really pleased and even said i might get another dog :D and i have a vizsla pup ive named Mya will be staying at work (she is a pup from work) until things are sorted and as im a glutton for punishment i said i might eventually get a GWP :D
Well thats my year so far, doesnt seem a lot when you type it up but i can assure you im knackered and we're only halfway through the year

Oh Tanya, thats awful about Arnie. 2005 hasn't been a very good year for us either regarding animals :( Hope things work out better for you for the next six months. Hope Barney is ok.
