I have been looking to purchase a dog crate for my pup. I have been looking around and the prices do vary.

Does anyone know where I can find the best price? I am looking for a 30" crate.

Thanks.

ebay or possibly argos :)

I got mine from ebay, it's a very large crate (sorry can't remember the dimensions) but it's in the category size for a great dane, etc, and it was a quarter of the price that PAH were charging. :)

I got mine from croft, it advertised in the dog world paper.
They were very quick in sending it too.
Really sturdy too.

I got mine from www.doghealth.co.uk
galvanised twin doors with hammerite finish a good sturdy cage and they offer the cage cover at a reduction if you buy them together

JustLou, that site is VERY cheap!!!

If a cage is the right size for a BC, will it be OK for an Aussie?

It is L 91cms x W 61cms x H 67cms (36" x 24" x 26").

That sounds fine if you want to continue using it when pup has grown up :) Tara's is the old Argos one - it's 54w x 61H x 77l (cms). This was fine as a pup and although she still sleeps in it at night of her own choice (with the door open) - I would only ever shut her in it for a few minutes on a very rare ocassion :D If you get a male you would definitely need a bigger one than Tara's :D

We have decided we are going to get a male, so I think comparing to yours this should be fine. Not bad for £35! And it has got a tray at the bottom so a couple of peices of vet bed will make it very easy to clean :D

P.S. Sorry I was so excited I forgot to say thanks for your help Daisy :D

Trays are a very good idea :D (Unless of course your pup decides to eat it - fortunately Tara only had a little chew of it). Any news on the puppy front ?

Still waiting for Pepper to get her act together and come in to season! Shouldn't be too much longer, Jewel has been in and nearly finished if she hasn't already. I think I told you, Jewel didn't take, I might not have done, took a few days to sink in ;)

Fingers crossed then :)

Absolutely Daisy! I feel like we are now back to putting all of our egg's in one basket, but at least we have a basket!!! Pepper has had a large and healthy litter before, so hopefully this will follow suit, but she is a bit older now so I am trying to get ready for the bad news, just in case :( Half of me is like, "she'll be fine, the pups will be fine, everything will work out and we will have him home by Christmas" and the other half is like "don't get too excited, it may not work", I think I will have high blood pressure, be on anti-depressants, have stress relief balls all over the place, etc. before we get him - where ever he comes from!! ;) :D
