Hello,
Would any of you be able to tell me if you breed clubs,
a) Have a code of ethics
b) If they enforce this code of ethics
By code of ethics I am looking for clubs that state minimum breeding ages for sires/dams and if people break these ethics they can no longer remain members or are taken of the breeders list etc.
Thank you for your help.

The Weimaraner Club of Great Britain and The Weimaraner Association do have codes of conduct/ethics. Breaches of these codes are dealt with on an individual basis; obviously due to the Data Protection Act etc this information is strictly confidential.

Same applies for the Labrador Retriever Club and the Labrador Club of Scotland

Norwegian Elkhound Club of Grat Britain.
Anyone breaching the code will be required to explain themsleves to the committee and action will be taken.
Spanish Water Dog Club is the same as Brainless' breed club.
|Don't forget that not everyone in the breed will be a member of the breed club though.
All dalmatian clubs. No breeding before 2 after 8 and a maximum of 4 litters each with a years break between whelping and breeding again.
Depends on the level of complaint. I know of people who have made minor infringements namely doing two mating slightly less than a year apart and just got a slap on the wrist. I am assuming a major offence would be something totally different.

in Belgian Shepherds, the BSDA of GB and NORBEL both have codes of ethics which include minimum and maximum ages for breeding and time between litters and yes they do enforce this by removing membership from those that break these codes.

The Leonberger Club of GB also have a strict code of ethics and they sound very similar to the others.
